Arturo Fuente Opus X

Before the 1990s, the Dominican Republic was famous for its filler and binder tobacco, but it was widely believed that the country’s soil and climate could not produce high-quality wrapper leaf (the delicate outer leaf of a cigar). Most Dominican cigars at the time used wrappers from Connecticut or Cameroon.
Rarity and Production
The Opus X remains one of the hardest cigars to find at retail prices due to three factors:
Limited Soil: The specific wrapper leaf is only grown on a small portion of the Fuente farm.
Strict Quality Control: Only a small group of the factory’s most elite rollers are permitted to handle Opus X tobacco.
